Pengdra does give people a slim chance at Tamadras before they're at the point that they can be farmed from Trifruits/Twinlits though, especially if one of the rare 1.5x Tamadra events is on. Oh and Mythlits, since farming them from the Friday dungeon seems like such a waste.

Since the benefits of farming rogues are legion — some of the highest rank xp/stam in the game, guaranteed monster points from predras, solid fodder in the form of pengdra and super king dragons, some of the better +/stam in the game, and many of the bosses can be useful for those without well-developed REM boxes — and not everyone has an Alt multiplayer dungeons and (un)intended consequences. Alt DoT gives enough stam to let you average 3 rank ups every 2 days well past rank 500, it drops pengdra and fodder almost as good as pengdra, the + egg rate is not horrible, it can drop pys, and it saves you 15% or more on your car insurance.
