Trader Joe's announced the top products for the 11th Annual Customer Choice Awards, and things look a little different this year. The Mandarin Orange Chicken has officially been dethroned. Trader Joe's super fans have spoken and there's a NEW favorite product! That's even more impressive when you consider Trader Joe's doesn't have sales, a loyalty program, or even an online store. But customers swear by the chain's products, from cheese to tequila to its famous $0.19 bananas. Not everything at Trader Joe's is a good buy, however. Trader Joe's just released a list of its 50 best products in honor of the store's 50th anniversary. The products on the list were selected by shoppers and employees. Some favorites that made the list include dark chocolate peanut butter cups, chicken tikka masala, plumcots, brewed ginger beer, and green dragon hot sauce. Each year, fan-favorite grocery store Trader Joe’s invites its legions of customers to vote for the best Trader Joe’s products of the previous year, and the votes for the best items at Trader Joe’s locations in 2019 (collected in early 2020) are in. If there's anything better than Trader Joe's products, it's new Trader Joe's products. In 2019, the store shook things up with a bunch of fantastic new food items in seemingly every department. Trader Joe’s is a good source of inexpensive basics like canned tomatoes, but roasted red peppers are my own favorite; I always scoop up a few jars there. You guys seem to love them, too!
