ThinkOrSwim is miles beyond that. There's absolutely no comparison. It could take you a few days to a week to learn Trade Architect. the ThinkOrSwim Platform can easily take months to a year or more. Trade Architect appears to be some sort of web based application but takes over the full screen of the browser but there isn't a browser tab at the top of the screen and I have to go to the IE icon on the taskbar to switch to Trade Architect. It looks similar to the following when launched. ToS aka ThinkOrSwim is full out platform with its own applications across all platforms. Also I believe when I moved over the rep at TD actually said ToS was cheaper monthly. The system is complicated and extremely complex but its in my opinion the best platform to trade on. You can’t get the type of features they have on there with any other broker. More education equals better trades. No web platform: TD Ameritrade used to offer a browser-based trading platform, Trade Architect. Trade Architect was beneficial for casual investors because onboarding required less of a learning curve than thinkorswim. It was shut down in 2018 because it was flash-based and unsupported by modern browsers. As of early 2020, a new platform has not been launched yet to take its place. Gallery
